Since the inception of Hooked in 2012, the Back to School Monster Truck Bash at The Dirt Track at Charlotte Motor Speedway has been a yearly staple on the team’s schedule and 2018 would be no different. The technical racing course is notorious in the industry and one of the most grueling circuits all year, but Bryan Wright and the Hooked team were up for the task. For the first time ever Hooked would make the trip to the Virginia Motorsports Park in Dinwiddie, Virginia. It would be the only Monster Truck Throwdown stop for the team in 2018 and with it being a near hometown event for Bryan Wright he was amped up and ready to thrill the fans. After a gut wrenching weekend at Monsters on the Beach in 2017 Bryan Wright and the Hooked team were determined to battle for the championship title in 2018. Last year’s event was plagued with mechanical issues all weekend long that kept the team out of contention. It was a major disappointment with it being a home town show and one of the team’s favorite events. They came into the weekend with their sites set on claiming the 2018 George Carpenter Cup en route to the King of the Beach honors.
