After a successful 2013 campaign for the Hooked Monster Truck team, with plenty of stellar performances and gaining the support of many great new sponsors along the way, the 2014 season has been met with great anticipation and high expectations. The first stop for Steven Sims and the Hooked Monster Truck team would be Houston, Texas’ Reliant Park. The usual home of the NFL’s Texans would be transformed into a massive monster truck course for 24 trucks in total to compete on. On Friday the Texans ushered in a new era with the announcing of their new head coach, on Saturday Sims would begin a new chapter in his career as well with his first major stadium Monster Jam event. Thousands of fans took to the floor of Reliant Park to meet their favorite drivers during the pit party prior to the event Saturday. Hooked Battles Hard at Back to School Monster Truck Bash
It’s been a busy summer for the Hooked Monster Truck team as they’ve traveled up and down the East Coast thrilling fans at every stop along the way. Few events are as big as the annual Circle K Back to School Monster Truck Bash at The Dirt Track at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Last year Steven Sims and Hooked had a great showing at the event, with a strong effort in racing and one of the best freestyle’s of the night. This year, the track was tougher than ever with many jumps, long straightaways, high speeds, multiple turns, a double jump, and the notorious crossover jump that Charlotte has become known for. Just one year ago Steven Sims and Hooked made their debut on the Oceanfront of Virginia Beach, impressing the hometown fans and the monster truck world alike. With more experience under his belt and plenty of confidence, Sims was set to rock the crowd all weekend long and put the Hooked monster truck in the winners circle, and he did just that.
